What is the difference between a qualified arborist and a tree lopper?
A qualified arborist holds a recognised AQF arboriculture qualification and is trained in tree biology, health, risk assessment and pruning to Australian Standards, so the work keeps your tree safe and structurally sound. A tree lopper is often just someone with a chainsaw and no formal training, and poor lopping can leave a tree weaker and more dangerous than before. Our team are certified arborists from AQF Level 3 to Level 5, so you get proper assessment, correct cuts and honest advice, not just a tree hacked back.
Do I need council approval to remove a tree on the Gold Coast?
It depends on the size, location and species. As a general rule, if the tree is over 4 metres tall or 40cm in girth, approval is required, though there are some exemptions. We assess your situation and prepare and lodge the council application for you if one is needed.
How much does tree removal cost?

Can you remove trees near powerlines?
Yes. Our team is qualified to work safely around powerlines and utilities. We follow strict safety protocols and coordinate with the relevant authorities when a job requires it.
How long does tree removal take?
Most residential tree removals are completed in one day. Larger or more complex jobs may take two to three days. You get an accurate timeframe with your quote.
What is the difference between tree lopping and tree removal?
Tree lopping is trimming or cutting branches to reduce a tree's size or remove hazards. Tree removal is taking the entire tree down, including stump grinding if required.
How do I know if my tree is dangerous and needs removing?
Look for a lean with shifting roots, dead or dying branches over your property, visible decay or hollow sections in the trunk, cracks in major limbs, or damage after a storm. If you notice any of these, our AQF Level 3 to 5 certified arborists can assess it and give honest advice on whether removal is necessary. Level 5 assessments are available for council applications.
What happens to the wood and debris after tree removal?
Complete debris removal is part of our service. All branches, logs and green waste are chipped on site with our Bandit Wood Chipper 150 XPC and removed from your property. Your site is left looking like we were never there, with no mess left behind.
Will tree removal damage my lawn or driveway?
We take great care to protect your property. Our tracked Spider Lift is designed for tight access and minimal ground impact, and our Toro TX 1000 Mini Loader handles debris efficiently on any terrain. We navigate around gardens, driveways and pathways, and every job includes a Job Safety Analysis before works commence that assesses how to minimise any impact.
Can you access my backyard if there is no side gate?
Yes. Our tracked Spider Lift is designed specifically for tight access where traditional equipment cannot reach, and we have completed thousands of Gold Coast removals in narrow driveways, side passages and properties with limited entry. Let us know about the access when you request a quote and we will assess the best approach.
Do you provide mulch after chipping the trees?
