Arborist Reports & Consulting Gold Coast

AQF Level 5 arboricultural assessments for council applications, insurance claims, neighbour disputes and development sites. Written by an arborist who has spent 35 years in the tree, not just reading about them.

What we produce

Reports that stand up.

Council, insurers and solicitors all want different things. Tell us who is asking and we will produce the right document.

Honest advice

Sometimes the report says leave it alone.

We are a tree removal company, so it would be easy to write reports that recommend removal every time. We do not, and that is exactly why councils, insurers and solicitors keep coming back to us. A report is only worth anything if it is defensible.

  • Written and signed by an AQF Level 5 qualified arborist
  • Referenced against AS4970 tree protection and the Gold Coast City Plan
  • Photographic evidence, measurements and a clear risk rating
  • Plain English recommendation you can hand straight to council
  • Turnaround normally three to five business days from inspection

Consulting questions

Before you commission a report.

The most expensive mistake is paying for the wrong type of report and having to commission a second one.

What is the difference between AQF Level 3 and Level 5?
Level 3 is the practical qualification for climbing and carrying out tree work. Level 5 is the diploma level qualification required to write formal arboricultural assessments and reports that councils, insurers and courts will accept. We hold both, which means the person writing your report has also done the physical work.
Will council accept your report?
Yes. Gold Coast City Council requires a Level 5 arboricultural assessment for most vegetation removal applications involving protected trees, and that is exactly what we produce.
How long does a report take?
Normally three to five business days from the site inspection, depending on how much investigation the tree needs. If you are under a deadline for a development application, tell us and we will work to it.
Do I need a report to remove a tree?
Not always. Many removals fall under accepted development and need nothing. A report is generally required when the tree is protected, when council has knocked back a previous application, when a neighbour disputes the work, or when a builder or insurer has asked for one.
Can you assess trees for a development site?
Yes. We prepare tree protection zone assessments, retention and removal schedules, and construction impact reporting for builders and developers across South East Queensland.

Other things we can sort while we are on site.

Most Gold Coast jobs turn into two or three jobs once the crew and the gear are already in your driveway. Doing it in one visit is always cheaper.
