Qualifications & Insurances

Everything you should be asking any tree company for before you let them near your property, set out in one place. If a competitor cannot produce this list, that tells you something.

Cover and accreditation

The paperwork that protects you.

Tree work is high risk. If something goes wrong on an uninsured job in your yard, the liability does not stay with the contractor.

Company cover
Public liability$20 million, current and certificate available on request
Workers compensationQueensland WorkCover, current for all crew
Industry membershipQueensland Arboricultural Association, member #1277
WHS accreditationCM3 accredited, required for most insurance and commercial works
LicensingQBCC licensed
ComplianceOperates in accordance with Queensland workplace health and safety legislation
Crew tickets

What the people in your yard actually hold.

Certification is only useful if it is current. Ours is renewed on schedule, not left to lapse.

Arboriculture

AQF Level 3 to 5

Practical arboriculture through to diploma level assessment. Level 5 is what council requires on formal vegetation reports.

Chainsaw

Level 1 and 2

Chainsaw operation and fell small tree levels 1 and 2, with ongoing competency training.

Height

EWP and aerial rescue

Elevated work platform operation plus aerial rescue training, so a climber in trouble can actually be recovered.

First aid

First aid and CPR

Current first aid and CPR across the crew, with a kit on every vehicle.

Site access

White card and blue card

Construction induction and working with children checks for school, childcare and body corporate sites.

Insurance work

CM3 induction

Full CM3 induction for insurance works, including the reporting insurers require.

Every job, every time

Documented before a saw starts.

This is the part most people never see, and it is the part that keeps your property and our crew intact.

  1. 01
    Job Safety Analysis

Hazards identified and controls agreed on site, in writing, before works commence.

  2. 02
    Safe Work Method Statement

The documented method for the specific job, not a generic template pulled off the internet.

  3. 03
    Site controls

Drop zones established, exclusion areas coned, neighbours and residents notified where required.

  4. 04
    Sign off

Site inspected on completion, and documentation retained and available to you or your insurer.

Certificates and evidence

Certificates of currency, accreditation documents and crew tickets are available on request for any job. Body corporates, insurers and commercial clients normally want these upfront, so just ask and we will send them with the quote.
